Slingshot Wines was founded by brother-and-sister team James Stewart and Caroline Guthrie, who set out with a simple vision: make great wine that’s bold, approachable, and never weighed down by pretense.
Growing up in a family rooted in wine, James and Caroline saw firsthand how intimidating the wine world could feel. With Slingshot, they wanted to flip the script. Their goal wasn’t to chase trends or follow rules—it was to craft wines that deliver serious quality while keeping the experience fun and accessible.
At the heart of Slingshot is Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from trusted growers and crafted with care to overdeliver in every bottle. When available, the lineup expands to include their fresh, vibrant Sauvignon Blanc—a perfect counterpoint to the Cab’s bold character.
For James and Caroline, Slingshot is about more than just wine. It’s about celebrating individuality, championing the underdog, and reminding people that the best glass of wine is the one you’re enjoying with friends.
